Online or In-Person Hypnosis – What Actually Works Better?

Okay, let’s just settle this once and for all because this question comes up all the time:

“Is online hypnosis really as effective as in-person?”

Short answer?

Yes. One hundred percent yes.

Longer answer?

Let’s talk about why—because the reasons might surprise you.


First off… hypnosis isn’t about the room we’re in.

Hypnosis isn’t touch-based.

It’s not about body positioning or hand movements or a perfectly dimly lit office with a sound machine in the background. (Although doesn’t that sounds lovely.)

What hypnosis is… is communication!

And communication works whether we’re face-to-face or screen-to-screen or simply on the phone.

What we’re doing in a hypnosis session isn’t physical. It’s neurological. It’s emotional. It’s energetic.

Your subconscious doesn’t care if you’re on virtual or sitting in my office.


In fact, sometimes online works better.

It’s true!!

There are actual advantages to doing hypnosis online:

  • You’re in your own environment (which = more ease + less effort)
  • You don’t have to drive anywhere (which means your nervous system stays cozy for post-session time)
  • You can wear your cozy clothes (your subconscious LOVES comfort)
  • You can lie down, close your eyes, and completely drop in and I can even sign off quietly and let you stay in that uber-comfy zone

I’ve had clients tell me they preferred virtual sessions because it helped them feel more in control. And that’s a big deal—because hypnosis is all about your sense of security and choice.


“But don’t you need to read my body language?”

Great question.

And yes—I do observe your body language whenever possible. But here’s the thing:

I can hear how you say things.

And if we’re on camera I can see how you express yourself.

I can hear your tone and cadence.

I can watch your your posture, your micro-expressions, and even the pauses you take.

When we’re tuned in together, I don’t need to be in the same room to feel the energy. Trust me—we’re creating a shared field, even across broad distances.


But what if you just prefer in-person?

That’s okay too! If the vibe of being physically in the same space feels grounding for you—great. Choose what feels best for you.

There’s no one-size-fits-all.

There’s only this:

What will help you feel most comfortable and present?

Because that’s the state where real change happens.


The truth?

Whether you’re in my office or on your couch, your bed, your kitchen table, your car (as long as you’re not driving!) , your subconscious mind is still listening.

It’s still learning.

It’s still updating the story.

And it’s still ready to shift—so long as you give it the signal.
